چکیده
Building resilience to disasters has become a strategic goal of many risk reduction programs across the globe. This is because ensures that communities develop capacities which prevent or minimise loses disasters. In view this, there need baseline tracks changes in through time. study responded this gap Zimbabwe by developing composite indices (CRI) using 26 variables reflected 5 subdomains resilience: community capital, economic, infrastructure, social and health. The CRI were then used map spatial variation 91 districts. results show majority districts with below moderate are mainly rural marginalised, while most resilient emerged urban areas where service provision infrastructure better developed. These findings further subjected factor analyses deconstructed overall identified six latent factors behind health, household head, income, access maize fortified food. mapped GIS environment their geographic country. Furthermore, Moran's Index Getis Ord Gi* statistical tests applied determine clusters space. Results confirmed clustering CRI. therefore, useful planning mitigation, response preparedness measures

investigating the feasibility of a proposed model for geometric design of deployable arch structures
deployable scissor type structures are composed of the so-called scissor-like elements (sles), which are connected to each other at an intermediate point through a pivotal connection and allow them to be folded into a compact bundle for storage or transport. several sles are connected to each other in order to form units with regular polygonal plan views. the sides and radii of the polygons are...
A Capital Model for Disaster Resilience
This paper proposes a capital model for disaster resilience. A central notion to this effect is viewing an organization as a capital conversion and capital creation system (Mandviwalla et al. 2014). Systems resilience was originally defined as the measure of a system’s persistence and ability to absorb disturbances (Holling 1973). Our approach corresponds to “resilience-1; Resilience as rebound...
